Taiwan’s unemployment rate was 3.8% in October. That’s the lowest it’s been in the past seven months. The Cabinet’s statistics bureau says Taiwan’s unemployment rate has declined over the last three months.
The Cabinet says that 11.51 million people were employed in October. That’s 0.06% less than last year. It says that although the job market has stabilized, the employment rate is not yet back to pre-pandemic levels. The Cabinet says the unemployment rate peaked in May. However, since the economy began to pick up in June, 48,000 people have found work.
